چکیده

Surface plasmon resonance (SPR) biosensor is one of the optical sensor that exploits the specific properties of electromagnetic waves. SPR biosensors have been generally utilized in the field of environmental sciences for a real-time monitoring. It is a label-free technique that is utilized to recognize biological analytes and analyze the binding interactions between a liquid sample with a biomolecular recognition element immobilized on the SPR sensor surface. we propose a vertical tiny finite thickness metal-insulator-metal(MIM) surface plasmon resonance based optical sensor that is placed on a silicon waveguide .The proposed waveguide structure act as a Fabry-perot resonator . The proposed biosensor is modeled and simulated by using RSoft CAD tool and the channel property of the device is investigated by Finite difference time domain (FDTD) solver in RSoft tool.

Detuned Plasmonic Bragg Grating Sensor Based on a Defect Metal-Insulator-Metal Waveguide

A nanoscale Bragg grating reflector based on the defect metal-insulator-metal (MIM) waveguide is developed and numerically simulated by using the finite element method (FEM). The MIM-based structure promises a highly tunable broad stop-band in transmission spectra. The narrow transmission window is shown to appear in the previous stop-band by changing the certain geometrical parameters. The cen...

Tunability of hybridized plasmonic waveguide mediated by surface plasmon polaritons.

Hybrid plasmonic waveguides have achieved rapid advancement in plasmonics, which has given rise to remarkable field enhancement, light harvest, light-transport capabilities, bridging the gap between electronics and photonics by routing and manipulating light at sub-wavelength regions and so on. However, the development of plasmonic waveguides is hindered by lack of devices that can adjust coher...

Nanoantenna couplers for metal- insulator-metal waveguide interconnects

State-of-the-art copper interconnects suffer from increasing spatial power dissipation due to chip downscaling and RC delays reducing operation bandwidth. Wide bandwidth, minimized Ohmic loss, deep sub-wavelength confinement and high integration density are key features that make metal-insulator-metal waveguides (MIM) utilizing plasmonic modes attractive for applications in on-chip optical sign...

Plasmon-induced transparency with detuned ultracompact Fabry-Perot resonators in integrated plasmonic devices.

We demonstrate the realization of on-chip plasmonic analogue of electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) in integrated plasmonic devices using detuned Fabry-Perot resonators aperture-side-coupled to a metal-insulator-metal (MIM) waveguide, with the transmission peak occurring at the intermediate wavelength. Strong MIM mode confinement along with localized side-coupling allows one to reali...

Coupled-mode Analysis of Plasmonic MIM Waveguide Coupled with a Resonant Cavity

The coupling coefficients of two parallel metal-insulator-metal (MIM) plasmonic waveguides are investigated using the analysis of the coupled-mode equations. The frequency characteristics of the power transmittance of a MIM waveguide coupled with a resonant cavity are studied and compared with the simulation results obtained from the FDTD method into which motion equations of free electrons are...
